Kintronic Labs offers static drain chokes for both low and high RF voltage applications that are installed at the output of an AM/MW tower antenna tuning unit such that they appear directly across the tower base insulator to provide a DC path to ground to dissipate any static charge that may accumulate on the tower during the passing of a storm system or in the event of high winds.
We also offer several models of two-, three-or four-wire tower lighting chokes with increasing current rating depending on the current draw of the tower lighting system. The tower lighting chokes are used to isolate the AC power circuit to the tower lighting system on an AM/MW broadcast tower from any RF interference. Kintronic Labs maintains stock on the RF bypass mica capacitors that are utilized on the tower lighting chokes to enable fast replacement in the event of a failure.
